Height: 40 1/2" is the most popular.
Width: 23”.62”
Extra tall chairs (43”) incur a $30 / chair up-charge.
Depth of the chair:
22”.84 (with the seats bottom cushion in the up position, also know as "seat up envelope").
31.50 (with the seats bottom cushion in the down position, also know as "seat down envelope").
Chair rocks back: About 6 inches. (Depending on size and weight of person sitting in the chair).
The rocking mechanism is adjustable. There is a screw, located in the most forward position going through the rubber spring mechanism. Tightening this screw will reduce the amount of rocking motion the chair has. The screw is set into the ´loosest’ position from the factory. In other words if you want the maximum amount of range-of-motion of the rocking you do not need to touch or mess with the adjustment screw at all. Just leave it alone.
Back-to-back spacing: Recommend min. of 40 inches. Additional space such as 44”or 44” etc. allows for more legroom, more comfort, and more egress room.
The chairs come partially assembled. Some assembly is required. The backs are already put together. The seat bottoms with their cushion and bucket are already put together.
The chairs legs, with its armrest and foot, are already put together.
All you have to do is attach the back and the seat to the legs. The screws to do this are included in the hardware that you receive.
The hardware used to attach the chairs to your floor or base, however are not included. You must obtain them locally.
Assembly and installation:
Since the Star Delight is a real theater seat, it is designed to be assembled quickly and easy. (Multiplexes have thousands of seats, and the theater seating installers must install those theater seats quickly so that the theaters do not have a lengthy down time.)
The chairs feet bolt to the floor or riser decking, floor mounting hardware must be obtained by you, locally. To assemble the back and seat assemblies to the legs, only 4 nuts per chair are needed. This hardware is provided with each chair. The nuts can be found hand tightened onto the rocker mechanisms threaded posts. They come this way from the factory, so as to prevent them from being lost.

2 common mistakes architects make: 1. Chair width dimension is provided as center to center (center of leg / armrest to center to leg / armrest). Sometimes architects do not hake into consideration the additional 6-8 inches that need to be added to each row length, to take into account ´the other half of the armrest’.
2. The architect forgets to take into consideration wall treatments, railings, and or sound deadening boards, when determining the legally allowed minimum aisle width.

So how do you determine the OVERALL width of a row of theater seats?
Most chair widths are given in center-to-center dimensions.
And since theater chairs widths are measured 'center-to-center' the question arises... How can you figure out what is the OVERALL width of a row?
First you can watch this 1min. 45 sec. video on how to measure theater seats:
Next you can use this formula:
Since most chair widths are given in center-to-center (CTC) dimensions, let's figure out the width of a chair that is 22" wide chair, measured center-to-center.
In this example we will use a row of 3 chairs.
|O|O|O|
So a chair '22-inches wide´ is measured from the center of one armrest over to the center of the other armrest.
So what you need to do first is to multiply the number of chairs times that width.
So let's say you have a row of 3 chairs. All 22" wide...
So, 3 chairs at 22" center-to-center would equal 66-inches.
That's fine, but that is not the total overall width...
Next, you now have to add the ´other half´ of the armrests, at the ends of the row.
This is usually 4 additional inches for chairs with regular armrests, and 5 inches for chairs with cup holder armrests.
So in our example, we are trying to determine the over all with of a row of 3 chairs, with regular (not cup holder) armrests, so 3 X 22" = 66" + 4" = 70" total overall width.
That is how wide a 3 chair row of 22" wide theater chairs is, with regular armrests.
So a row of 3 chairs is 70" wide overall.
